Lazy Dog Loungers: Crafting Canine Comfort since 2015 Lazy Dog Loungers was born in 2015, out of a need to give a water-loving dog his own water float. Living on Lake Lanier, our Golden Retriever, Sebastian, was constantly in the water. After tearing up numerous human floats and incurring several hundred dollars in replacements, Sebastian's parents and their close friends decided it was time to create a float specifically designed for him.

Initially, the team built the floats in their basement, going through 7 or 8 prototypes before perfecting the design for stability, durability, access, and maintenance. Lazy Dog Loungers is a 75% woman-owned and 100% woman-run company, and the durable floats are now manufactured in Cornelia, GA using recycled materials.

Sebastian's love of the water was the driving force behind Lazy Dog Loungers. Human floats simply couldn't withstand the wear and tear from his nails as he tried to climb on them. So, his family crafted a dog-friendly float, allowing Sebastian to swim, rest, and be with them in the water. Lazy Dog Loungers was born out of a dog's love for the water and a family's love for their canine companion.
